Behavioral & Social/Emotional Needs
Program Description
Shore offers programs for students with a variety of diagnoses relating to academic and mental health issues. Social/emotional and behavioral issues are present to the extent that they preclude placement in a public school setting. Staff is trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). Students enrolled in these programs have access to assistive technology throughout their school day. Speech language, occupational and physical therapy and counseling services are provided in accordance with the IEP. Students in Middle and Hign School have access to intramural and league sports programs.
- Enrollment:
- Kindergarten through 3rd grade enroll up to 10 students per classroom
- 4th and 5th grade enroll up to 8 students per classroom
- Middle and High School enroll up to 10 students per classroom

- Kindergarten to grade 12

- Classrooms are staffed with one teacher and two student support staff

- K-5th: School year plus extended year programming
- Middle and High School: School year plus limited extended year programming
Admissions Procedure
Our admissions process for students begins with a referral from our member school districts. Please contact the Director of Special Education in your school district for more information about sending a student to Shore Educational Collaborative. Inquiries are also welcomed from non-member districts.
